What is movement biomechanics? The natural anatomical alignment and movement of each body part/joint. How each body part aligns in the body and how each body part should function and move. More like a relationship one is affected and dependent on the other. Each bone and joint not only needs to align correctly on top of each other with a line of gravity to keep the body upright but each joint needs to function correctly (flex/twist/resist/stabilize) to keep the body aligned while moving. Since the body is never really static, the alignment of the body, AKA posture, is based on the biomechanical relationship of all the bones, joint, muscles, ligaments, tissue and even the organs. |
